Before I say anything else, please let me say that I am embarrassed by this situation. The fact I'm sane seems to show in the fact that I can easily recognise that what I have to say sounds insane and I do suspect that I'm insane, but just don't know it. I have been diagnosed with autism, I hear voices and I can't control my own body, but I have always been regarded as very intelligent and my therapist thinks I'm sane. It just looks bad; it isn't actually bad. What I have to say does make sense, but -- taken out of context -- it can seem like it doesn't. Secondly, can you name one notable turning point in science or technology that didn't seem ridiculous, impossible and obviously false before it was proved? No? Exactly.
